Stuart getting papped for the annual review

Hello Wales

It was the turn of Wales to get a visit from the annual review team this week. We got a very warm welcome from everyone at Nacro Cymru Youth Choices project and lots of lovely cups of tea. Star of the day was our case study Stuart Irvine, who was incredibly good humoured about posing for endless photos and being asked to walk up and down the road repeatedly while ‘looking thoughtful’ for our cameraman. Thank you to the whole team, especially to Andy Watson and area manager Rachel Richards for giving us a brilliant guided tour of Nacro in Chester.

Team Nacro on tour

Last week here in the communications team we packed our bags (and our packed lunches) and started out on a six-stop whirlwind tour of the best Nacro projects in the UK. Over the next two months we’ll be off all around the country drinking lots of cups of tea while chatting to staff, volunteers and people who have been supported by Nacro. We’ll be photographing and interviewing it all for the annual review. We’re also making short films about the people we meet for our brand new Nacro website, which is launching later this year. We’ll be blogging here about our experiences and maybe even the quality of the tea and biscuits we encounter along the way.
